THESE!

After 21 years of teaching, I finally found mechanical pencils that don’t break!

Not only are they incredibly sturdy, the triangular shape gives an unbelievably comfortable grip.

I have several students whose handwriting is nearly illegible (mostly because of their pencil grip); I gave the kiddos one of these pencils and the change in their penmanship has been impressive! They also help students who write so lightly that the graphite barely leaves a mark.

I can’t believe how excited I am over a pencil, but I’m telling you they are game changers!

This Book!

Boris and Bella is the perfect book for October. Teach story elements with ease with this captivating story of two monsters who are complete opposites.

Grossology!

This book has totally gross ideas for science stations that are totally disgusting and totally engaging! Using this book is a great way to celebrate Halloween in the classroom while hitting science standards!

BRING THE OUTSIDE IN!

I have used these for years! They are super easy to put up and they stay up. They don't hang or droop and they come in so many different styles. My favorite has always been the clouds, but they have ocean, beach, galaxy, and so many other scenes. They are pricey, but I find that three is the perfect number for a classroom. Three is just enough to create a calming classroom; it takes the edge off the brightness of fluorescent and LED lights. They also make a great gift. I purchased one for each of the secretaries in our office; they loved them!

YOU’RE WORTH IT!

With such a huge push to teach small groups most of the day, sitting has become a bit burdensome on my tush!

My husband bought me one of these- the best gift ever!

Not only do I use it on the daily in my small groups, I take it to staff meetings and in-service days; sitting in the cafeteria or on tiny wooden chairs in the library gets really uncomfortable really fast, butt (had to do the pun) having this cushion has made those long meetings more bearable.
